By training teachers, For the Children’s Sake Foundation is able to touch the lives of thousands of orphans and vulnerable children through people of their own country.
Training teachers of orphans and vulnerable children is a strategic decision. We do not run orphanages or schools. Instead, we multiply our efforts by coming alongside African orphanages and schools and helping them become most effective.
Teachers who are untrained are taught how to plan and deliver effective lessons, about child development, how to teach to develop higher level thinking skills and how to teach children academics from a Christian worldview.
The African Instructor Trainee Program allows the mobilization of committed Christian teachers from each country to help train others working without training in non-formal Christian schools.
